End to end manufacturing
Goodbye 2020. Let’s forge a new future.

By vr foundries on 3-December-2020

The year 2020 proved to be an unforgettable year for the wrong reasons: the outbreak of one of the deadliest pandemics, COVID-19, or more popularly, the Novel Coronavirus, sealed the world for close to a year. And I am brimming with hope and confidence as I write this blog and as we enter the new year 2021 with daring ambitions and expansive trajectories. We, at VR Foundries, strongly believe that this year will be a year for manufacturers looking to forge a new future, crafting their dreams with a lot of passion and enthusiasm drained out of them last year. We will continue to work with a new vigour, a revitalized sense of purpose and a new vision of the possibilities of the future.

Manufacturers all over the world saw unprecedented reduction in demand, as consumption hit a low note. Transportation and logistics were cut in almost cut in every region of the world. Intra-state travel was first restricted during the lockdown phase, only to be allowed later with several restrictions that still continue to affect the general public even as we barge into the new year.  This, in general, prevented most businesses in operation, and arrested growth.  The castings industry nose-dived into oblivion especially during the lockdown phase of the first wave of the pandemic, with many foundries ceasing to operate owing to government regulations.

The supply of raw materials was tethered at many points and at different levels. This only led to price increase of essential commodities including those required for manufacturing. Job works and sub-contract works were affected as a result, with many families left to fend for themselves. The worst fear was yet to come and that was uncertainty. We, at VR Foundries, wish all our clients, staff and stakeholders and the manufacturing ecosystem a very happy new year and we know the best is yet to come.
